PAgis Hosts Annual GIS Day Event at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock, Arkansas

“Developing Central Arkansas Using GIS”, theme for PAgis’ event focusing on GIS data technology as strategic resources for economic development.  Presentations included Entergy Arkansas, web based application site consultants use for locating new industries. Arkansas Senator Broadway, relied heavily on GIS to provide quick reports, maps to site consultants relocating the National Boy Scout Jamboree site. Arkansas Geocachers Assocation's fun presentation about geocaching.  Environmental And Spatial Technology schools attended from around Arkansas. Special announcement from Arkansas Dept of Education and EAST Initiative, “ESRI will provide access of ESRI software to ALL schools in Arkansas”.  Picnic style lunch, cake symbolic of dollar bill replacing standard images, text with maps, coordinates, directions, and GIS related phrases.
