Hal A. Edwards

Senior GIS Programmer

Hal Edwards is a GIS professional who has been in the GIS business for over 16 years. Mr. Edwards worked to develop major GIS applications used by the United States Air Force, TRW, Lockheed Martin, Impact Assessment, Clark County Nevada Nuclear Waste Division, Clark County Nevada Schools. Recently, Mr. Edwards worked to develop Intranet applications for Florida Power and Light. His programs with FPL have been used extensively by FPL dispatchers to access power outage status within the FPL power network.

Hal currently works for PAgis as the Senior Programmer. He has written applications for PAgis which are being used by PAgis member agencies for building addressing, street centerline updating and maintenance. He has also written applications to connect line segments that did not get connected during data creation and editing. He has also written an application to reduce the number of vertices in coverages with line themes. Hal is also writing routines for ArcInfo using AMLs to help maintain the PAgis library.
